ZWO ASI462MC Color Camera for Astronomy Astrophotography. This sale is for a lightly used zwo-asi camera. These are used with telescopes and particularly suitable for Planetary and Lunar astronomy, but can also be used for galaxies, and other deep space objects (DSOs). See attached photos I took using this camera. The moon photo with yellow labels was shot in August, 2021 using a 6 reflector telescope having a focal length of 1395 mm (1.295 meters). The ASI462MC camera is one of the newest cameras developed by industry leader, ZWO. It has incredible speed, able to capture hundreds of images per second, and verrrrrry low noise resulting in high quality photos. See details in photos on specs. One minor problem is that the IR filter was scratched. On these cameras, the IR filter is a small piece of plain glass like a slide cover-slip used in biology microscopy. I think it occurred when I was tightening the nose piece. I placed the old filter in a small plastic bag along with the rubber ring that holds it in place. You can search for a replacement, but it is not necessary and removal provides greater sensitivity to the infrared spectrum. This camera does not require external power. Just download the ASI camera drivers from the ZWO web site, plug in the cable and capture images.
